Idea for posting

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

I read this elsewhere, but thought it was a good idea. If you want try to put your location along with your name. You can set a cookie that will automatically put your name each time you post, so I just reset mine to say Melissa in SE Ohio. I think this gives people a beter idea of how to respond to questions, and may help you find people close to you. I realize some won't for privacy reasons! I like to know where you are, and many of you I remember, but it is hard to remember everyone! Thanks to all for your consideration!

I think its a nice idea, we can't remember everyone. This will be helpful when they tell what kind of weather their having. It started out sunny, then a little snow flakes and now cloudy with a patch of sun shining through.

Rose,

When you post an answer you can chose if you want individual e-mail replies or not. It automatically sends them to you if you do not chose "no".

Good idea Melissa. I've found lots of neighbors that way. I just haven't had the time to do much more than post on the forums with them though, but it would be nice to get together some time in the future.

I've set the cookies on both computers, at the office and home, so you can pinpoint me exactly and know where I'm posting from. By the way, it's Brazil in South America, and not Indiana.

WOW! What a great idea!! I only wish I'd thought of it. ;o)
