Looking for info on when the ACL depots in Four Oaks and Rose Hill NC were razed and the circumstances surrounding them. Thanks for any input. By the way...what happened to Calypso NC also.

I have pictures (old polariods) taken in the late 70's of both Rose Hill and Four Oaks. Rose Hill was a wooden structure and the best I recall, Four Oaks was brick or at least partially brick. It sat on the east side of the track. As far as the Calypso depot, yes it is at Bowdens. I videoed it in late 1998. Structurally it seemed fair but did not appear that it was being taken real good care of. I did speak with a fella who was there and allowed me to also video the inside and yes it was the Calypso depot.

As for the Calypso station, I believe the one currently in Bowdens is the Calypso station, moved south a business. I compared photos of it I took a few years ago to previous ones taken in Calypso and the windows match.
For remaining stations, check with the Old North State NRHS Chapter in Raleigh on the 3rd edition of their book - Remaining railroad structures of North Carolina.
