user manual for eos 3000n

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon EOS FAQ forum : One Thread

I just received a brand new eos 3000n camera bought by a frend in Geneva Unfortunately the two manuals are in french and german and i do not understand a word in either language. I am a thousand miles from the nearest supermaket (on the Aral sea working for a voluntary organisation). I have internet access. Is it possible to download such a manual via the Net??????? SOS please.

Canon does not make their manuals freely available over the Internet, and since they're copyrighted materials, anyone else doing so is breaking the law. Of course, there's nothing to stop people from writing their own manuals - the Magic Lantern series of books includes information that might be found in a manual, and there are some online manuals at http://www.eosdoc.com/ (though there isn't one for the 3000N).

Canon apparently sells these manuals for reasonable prices. Can you order one to be delivered to wherever your home base is and pick it up the next time you're there?

Alternatively, the 3000N is basically a 500N/Rebel G, and similar in many ways to other bodies like the 3000 and the 500/Rebel X, so if you can find a manual for any of those, that will help.
