Hi Karen Read this message yesterday, but new to my computer and didn't know how to send you a message till 15 yr. old son helped me! Anyhow I think it would be fun to trade receipes, crafts, etc..... I'm always looking for new and unusual canning receipes. A new canning receipe I tried last fall was for an Apple pie filling. It is delicious, and super easy! Thought some might like to try it.

Appple Filling

4 1/2 cups sugar 1 cup cornstarch 2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg pinch salt 10 cups water

Mix all ingredients with the water and cook until thick and bubbly. Then add 3 tbs. of lemon juice. Pack sliced apples (not real full) into quart jars and pour juice over apples. Make sure you get all air bubbles out. Process in pressure canner at 11 pounds for 20 min.

When I took mine out of canner they were bubbling over but they sealed fine. This is the best pie filling I have ever ate.

Also I LOVE to do crafts! I am looking for the pattern to make frankenstein out of clay pots. Does anyone know where I can get this pattern or do you have one? I am new to the internet and would like to find some sites for crafts. I have found some but I sure there is many more than what I have found. Can anyone help?

Thanks, Jo
