I sure wish I had read that first LOL

What I would like is for this thread to be a place to post any special thanks you have for Vicki for all the information she has shared with us so freely.

Vicki, I have been to many forums and I can't say that I have seen anyone else who puts so much time into answering questions about goats. I have seen you answer the same questions over and over again but if it is asked you can be sure that you will be ther to try and help. You are a blessing to all of us goat owners. You are goat peoples HERO! George

Do you know what thread amazed me the most? I'm not sure which Lusenet forum it was on, but Vicky had someone e-mail her with a question that needed an immediate reply and she didn't have the time to answer it. So she posted the woman's particulars and needs, and someone else picked up the ball and helped the woman out. I think that was such a wonderful show of community! I was impressed with Vicky for passing it on. She has good answers for any question I've seen concerning goats and she is more than willing to help out anyone who needs advise. I have met many people who have a great deal of knowledge and who can't delegate for beans. Vicky obviously isn't one of them and that's great!

My thanks to Vicki and all the others who answered my thread on CAE.I had just been to a goat sale and when I asked the people there if the goats were Cae neg. the answer was, "Well their knees aren't swollen so they're probably are okay. This was from the organizer of the sale. Then the more I read the more confused I got.It was great to get the info from people with experiance. Thanks again.

Yes, Vicki, thank you. I think all of us appreciate your expertise, and willingness to share it.

You guys are so nice. Something I would like to say is don't ever "not post" because you think you have nothing to add. I know that sounds still sort of pompus, and I rewrote it several times :) My point is, Sherry wrote a thread on less milk from single births, something I had said, yet nobody answered her, I just hope it isn't because it would look like disagreeing with me. I am not like that at all. I also learn from everybody I meet, just today at a goat meeting I got to see my first Premier bucket for feeding kids, certainly better than the tired ole Lambar I have used for years, with tubes all but impossible to keep clean! Vicki

I have to agree- what would we do without Vicki? I have no doubt that a lot of goats would have died and there would be several unhappy, discouraged goat keepers, including many beginners, who may not have ventured back into goats. So hats off to Vicki!

PS, what is a Premier feeder?

Thank you Vicki, I am new to goats this year, and I can't count the times that Vicki has helped answer my questions. Especially when I had a very sick goat and really needed the help. Many others have helped also, and I have used advise from all. Including writing it down for future reference. I don't post much, but I am around reading posts alot to gain information from others questions also. YOu are all my mentors, Thank you everyone who has posted to forum. Barbara

Yes Vicki,Thank You. I am enjoying happy, healthy goats for the last 1 1\2 years due to all the info you give and I lurk about reading everything. Also thanks to Bernice and all the others who answer too. Now that your all buttered up, please stick around --my first kiddings are coming up and I am a NERVOUS WRECK!

I have to thank Vicki and Bernice soooo much!- and many others, too. I tell ya, if it weren't for the internet, I would be one of those goat keepers who gave it up. There simply are not many dairy goats around here and the few there are...well, they are pretty sad. My vet locally only knows that they are made of meat. My first doe, who was full blown cae+ was taken to this vet four times to be tested for cae and always came back neg. I KNEW she was positive, but he didn't know the proper tests to run and neither did I...very sad. I wonder how many goats owe their lives to Vicki? She has been a tremendous blessing to me in more ways than I care to enumerate as it would simply get mushy;). God bless ALL of the folks who are so willing to share their knowledge and experience! Thank you!!!!!!!

Wow, that was so sweet of you George. Vicki is a real gem too, she gives and gives of herself to help others. She has a undying passion for goats and helping others. And one time I asked her how she did it all, she is up late, thats how she does it she said. But she will always get back to someone as fast as she can no matter what the situation. Vicki is a one in a million and the reason that many folks have hung on when the odds were looking pretty grim.

This mad emy day, warmed my heart.

Stop! Stop! I'm dieing here! :) 800.430.8561 here is Premiers phone number, they are on the internet premierfencesupply.com, but don't understand why there bucket feeders are not on it, they are in the catalog. The nipples attach to the bottom of the buckets with these screw on plastic nuts. First you use the pritchard teats, then you move the nipples one at a time to the laytex nipples, then over to the rubber ones which they stay on until weaned, they are nearly distructable like the lambar nipples. No tubes to clean! Definetly going to use them next year. Vicki

Must look into that bucket Vicki!!! Yes, I continue to learn from you and others on this and other forums. What would life be if we got to the point that we thought we knew it all?? Boring I think. hugs and best wishes.
