Snow for the Weekend

Did anyone else get snow for the weekend?

We got about 4 or 5 inches I suppose, just enough to be pretty.

Our neighbor Angie with the snow blower cleared both sides of the block's sidewalk, as far as the eye can see, and the county's street plow took it down to blacktop. The county/ State get theirs at tax time as we all know, but Angie won't even take money for gas!

I found out last summer that he loves our garden produce (particularly roma tomatoes and green peppers), so he takes em off of my hands for me.

We got about an inch and a half. It quit snowing for a while today and now it has started again, with another inch or two expected this evening.

We got four inches yesterday-Friday morning. a lot of it melted by nightfall. We did not get the big hairy icestorm they were predicting last night, Today its been really nasty outside-it would rain a bit, then sleet then snow then go back to rain. Right now at dusk, its snowing. There were big ice droplets on the trees-I'm glad we didn't have to go out today!!!!

Got two pairs of snowshoes this year, just in case, but we rarely get much snow, it blows sideways if it does snow. Can't say I envy some of you, tho. How do the bees do in that snow, Stan? Jan

It's snowing like the dickens in Boston right now, just to give the Patriots the hometown advantage! I never knew that football coaches and fans were so well connected as to be able to pray up a snowstorm!!!

We got snow here in the Flint hills of Kansas the first real snow this season----not much --but we needed the moisture!! Our Kansas wheat needs a good snow cover or some form of moisture!!!

Hi Rick, it rained here in east Tenn. all day, but no snow. Shew..... I saw where Ky. got some and where they had ice in NC. I guess it split up when it got to us. I've had my one snowfall for the year a week or so ago and now I'm ready for spring!!!

Poor Annie, you don't know what you're missing. Yesterday I went cross-country skiing with my kids and husband and we had a glorious time. Today we went sledding. I don't know what I would do if I lived somewhere that was limited to one snowstorm a year!!! And how bout them Patriots...they love the snow as much as I do now!

Well, I'm a little late reporting in! I haven't been on-line much this past weekend. WE got 2 inches of the white stuff Friday but like Kelly, by evening it was all gone. Saturday morning early we got 7 inches. It is beautiful. Won't be around long though, they are predicting 50's to 60's by the middle of this week! Oh how I love Kentucky! It is so unpredictible.
