data missed if battery removed

I would like to know if EOS bodies, particularly EOS 300,fail to show the no. of frame left on the LCD if i removed the battery while the film is inside the body? Thanks

No. All EOS cameras have a tiny bit of EEPROM (electrically erasable programmable read-only memory) that stores that information even if the battery is removed.

I believe the camera won't remember the last shutter speed and aperture settings you had (and whether the beeper was turned off) but the frame number will be preserved.

yes, i agree to what Guy says. i too have removed the batteries of my EOS 300 many times. i find that the number of frames does gets restored though i have not checked any other information like the last exposure setting.
