Hi, i have just came across this site and noticed that you need a manual for the EOS 3000. I bought my EOS 3000N 3 months ago in germany and though taking german lessons still cant get to grips with the technical jargon in the manual. I think there isnt much difference between these two models so i am willing to swap this for an electronic copy of the EOS 3000, i live in scotland so if you are willing to pay for the post and packaging we can make a deal. Let me put in a big plug for the EOS Documentation Project. We have been looking for a way to distribute manuals for cameras such as the EOS 3000, but without written permission from Canon, copying the Canon manual would be breaking copyright law.

It would be the height of hypocrisy to expect others to respect the rights of the photographer over photographs while disregarding the copyright notice on a Canon manual!

So, eosdoc volunteers generate their own manuals. If you can identify what makes the Canon or the Magic Lantern or Hove manuals difficult to understand, the deficiencies can be fixed in the eosdoc manual.

On the other hand, if someone from Canon would give us permission, we could arrange to have scanned manuals available as a public service.

i too bought a eos 300 from germany and called them to send an english manual. 2 days later the english manual was in my letter box. if you are still in germany you should be able to do so.
