High Resolution developer SPUR

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Film & Processing : One Thread

The company which supplies developer for Gigabitfilm now makes a new Speed Photography Ultra Resolution -- SPUR developer

Agfa Copex Rapid, a document copy film developed in SPUR results in 600 lpmm resolution, double that of Kodak Technical Pan in Technidol.

This is an interesing altenative to gigabitfilm. SPUR AND AGFA COPEX

Some Minox photographers use SPUR with Ilford Delta 100 and Kodak Tmax with good results.

Minoxer Marcus developed Ilford Delta 100 in SPUR with good results Old Tree

Mind you, the original Minox negative is only 8mm wide by 11 mm long, about 1/10 of 35mm film area.

The shadows seem very heavy and lacking in detail in that sample picture. Is this typical of Delta100 in SPUR, Martin?

Pete, I don't know. The photos were only the first roll of Delta 100 8x11mm film developed by Marcus by the book, I don't think he has time to fine tune the exposure and and development time according to Zone system yet. I am waiting for his further tests on Agfapan APX 25 before I purchase SPUR and experimenting myself.

What's in SPUR? Does anyone have an idea?

If anyone could come up with a formula for the old H&W Control Developer you'd probably be on the right track.
