Tonight when I logged in to Unk's Private Saloon, it wasn't private any more. The link had scooted up into the list of public forums and it didn't prompt me for a password.

Are you behind this, Unk? Or is it a snafu?

Shhhh, quiet! Next thing you know I'll have to password it again!

To be truthful, I am tired of "Hey Unk, please, please, please send me the password, I'll shine your shoes for 27 years and clue you into special deals on Equate brand diaper relief ointment if you only please, please, PLEASE send me the password" emails.

So I plan to try it this way for a while. If shit gets ugly, your old password will be re-instated. Until then, carry on as if nothing has happened.

I wish you would have posted a thread asking the forum for input before making a unilateral decision, Unk. How is it you imagine throwing open the doors will have a different outcome than the Wild Wild West? Do you think the disruptive individuals will simply ignore the change? What about those persons who were harassed in real life? For me, it's nom du plume time until I am confident the forum is relatively sociopath-free.

Yeah, Unk, what the hell do you think you're doing, anyway?!?!? This should have been submitted to the Saloon Steering Committee for approval. You NEVER made a single proposal to the rest of the sysops, never got ANY of the required votes from the forum representatives, and let's not even MENTION your complete disregard for filing the proper 103b-44a form with the Clerk of Courts.
