What format do videos have to be in to be burned on a CD-R and played in a DVD player

I want to know how to convert MPEG's to a format that will be playable on my DVD player. MY DVD player will play video cds CD-R/RW and MP3 but i burned the video as an MPEG and it didnt work. I got a directory on my TV screen but it wouldnt play the videos. Im using Roxio ez cd creator 5

Try using nero burning rom and choose Video CD Download it with morpheus or kazaa. Nero converts mpegs to video cd format (.dat)

www.vcdhelp.com has some excellent guides that will help you get started. I strongly suggest you abandon EZ CD Creator and use Nero as another person suggested. Nero is not free, but you can try it free for 30 days and buy it if you like it. Go to www.ahead.de for details.

Try TMPGenc.net for a free conversion download. I used it tonight, and others say its great. Use a basic template - 352X240 NTSC Video CD.

Well, I made my vcds with Roxio ez cd creator 4, and I have no problems watching the movies with my dvd player.Fuck Nero use Roxio beeyatch. Peace

I have a Vcd Galxyie combo pack where you could change your avi file to either a super Vcd Or a Vcd I don't no which one to use and don't no what setting to put if i choose any setting will the Movie work even if i created the movie with widows movie maker would it work still on my DVD video player.
