How to find your ideal country home

"How to find your ideal country home" by Gene GeRue is a good book to help you figure out exactly what you want/need; the right area for you, etc....Some chapter titles are: Climate, Lifestyle, Taxes, Demographics, Who are you?, Do you have what it takes?, Regions, Small towns, Real Estate, etc.....

My husband & I have used it to help us narrow down our search for the "ideal" place (notice that's in quotes-ha!)

Just thought it might help someone else who's looking.

Check your local library, even if they don't have the book, they can probably get it for you through inter-library loan.

The book is great! Gene is a hoot too! It helped me narrow down my goals. Our homestead found us and thus we did all the "wrong" things in buying it, but they turned out fine any way. Lucky that way, i guess. I recommend it!

Hello hmmm, Gene Gerue also is the original inventor of the chicken moat. He published a article in MEN in the mid-eighties on its design. If you want to see my verision of this great idea, you may check out my photo albums on my webpage.

Incidiently, while you are looking at my photos you will notice a older man on a back hoe, this is Gene Gerue! He happens to be my neighbor and a good friend.

His book is great. In addition to all the useful information that he has researched and provided for all of us to read, there is lots of whimsical quotes about country life (and life in general).

If you would like Gene to autograph your book, just send me $25,000.00 and I will have him sign it for you. I take payment in cash or euro dollars! Just kidding!

Sincerely,

Ernest
