If you have ever been to Jamboree in the Hills here in Belmont County, you would probably agree for sure! It is a country music festival where over 100,000 people convene to listen to the big country stars. Last year they almost didn't get the permit to have alcohol on the premises, and you would have thought the world was going to end! They actually held emergency hearings in columbus and everything, but at the last minute they were given the permit, and alcohol was permitted, saving the local economy! (at least according to hte festival organizers...unbelievable but true...)

Leslie, C & W music does not cause alcoholism. Alcoholics tend to listen to it because it is slower, easier for a subdued mind to understand, more traditional in subject matter. Earlier C & W was about cheating, lying, pain, sadness, ect. which are the things the alcoholic dwells on, - imagined trespasses.

Rock & Roll attracts illegal drug users because the drug use hightens the mind, (alcohol lowers the mind); it is a preferance, not a cause and affect.

Strangely enought, heavy metal music has the least involvement in drugs and alcohol; rap music has the most.

The questions I present are researched sometimes 30 to 45 days earlier, I list them randomly to keep the subject interesting. The facts about alcoholism came from a conference at the Schiller institute of Washington , DC. And it is a "back burner" question so I am still seeking to revisit that page.
