Hi C., Well look up control theory in your Psy 100 text or maybe your Soc Psy text. "Delayed Gratification" might be the key word. As a remember, Buddha's temptations where greed, fear, lust, and social responsibility too. You might search Psych Lit in your college library for drug addiction for cravings (or sexual disfunction), and I know you will find articles on compulsive gambling in Psych Lit. You could also look at Adler's concept of the need for power. Good luck, David
