COOKBOOKS HELP NEEDED

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I am trying to develop a cookbook for people with dietary restrictions as follows. 1. No Flour (of any kind) Sprouted grains OK. 2. No pastas (unless someone has a sprouted grain pasta recipe) 3. No sugar, honey, corn syrup, molasses. Only artificial sweetners. 4. No corn, rice or high starch foods (potatoes) All squashes are OK as are most fruits and vegetables, as well as all proteins. Dairy is OK and plain yogurts, etc.

If the recipe is used, I would be pleased to give credit to the contributor in the final published book.

Thanks for your help.

Only artificial sweetners??????????????????? Is that correct?????? Most health problems I have found stem from artificial sweetners---- Best wishes with your cook book!

Oh ya for sure, yoou come to da right place by golly, Yorg. Vell, I tink I can help ya dare wid von fine recipe dat meets all your requirments. Mrs. Yawnson yust gave me da recipe dat her and da udder nice Lu'tern Church basement ladies use for dare annual Lutefisk supper, ya. Now ya first wanna lay out does fillets on some o' dat dare waxpaper. Dontcha go usin' none o' dat aluminium foil on accounta da Lutefisk will turn it black, dontchaknow. Sprinkle rock salt over da fish and let dem set for a few hours on da countertop. Make sure no male dogs get close to da lutefisk while dare settin' dare. Da lovely aroma you vill soon smell vill clear da house of any lice you or da kids may have, dats for sure! In fact, if yoou rub some o' dat Lutefisk in dare hair all da lice vill die! Trust me on dis von. Next you den rinse each fillet, von by von, under cold, running vater. Dontcha let da vater enter da septic tank cause it vill kill it deader den a door nail by golly. Den, after ya rinse da fish let dem soak in unsalted vater. Make sure dat yoou don't use an aluminum pot to soak dem in. Da pot vill turn black as Sven Olson's new pick-up. Now you wanna boil da lutefisk in salt vater, use tree tablespoons of salt per quart of vater. Boil for 10 minutes, den let the fish steep for 10 minutes. Don't let dis vater go into da septic tank eader. Serve dis delight right a-vay vile its HOT, by yiminey, maybe wid boiled potatoes and lefse.
