Survivor Fans Only!!!!

Wasn't the finale great! I was rooting for Ethan all along, after Frank was voted off. Frank reminded me so much of my own husband. It was uncanny! So if you want to know what Cale is like, just look at Frank. I do like this show. I thought it amazing that Kim was hanging on for so long in that last immunity. She didn't even look like she was tired. I think she would have stayed all day. It seems like women have a lot of patience.

The new show looks like it will also be a good one. No supplies on the new one, no food, no water, and no fire. It will just be them against the elements. That island looks Beautiful. I love the scenery and the culture of these shows, as well as the people and the relationships.

Now if you don't like them, don't say anything! This thread is for fans only, and it is my only downfall!!!

Hubby & I planned our evening around watching the show-----& we don't watch much T.V.!!! ha!!

Hubby thought Tom the goat farmer would win----I really didn't know--- But I think Ethan was one of my favorites!!!

Big Tom was the favorite in my area. He lives in the next county from me (only about 15 miles). There were Big Tom parties all over the place every Thurs. night! Hey...nothing big ever happens up here on the mountain and this has been great!!! Although we were all disapointed, it was great that he made it to the final 4!!

As a side note: there was a party at Tom's home on Thurs. nights since the beginning. Everyone brought a dish to share. Last week there were over 150 people...no one knew about 100 of them...but they all brought food!!

I liked big Tom the best to but then again we all would like a homesteader type in here anyway. He sure seems to have been hurt by some women in his past the way he talks. But then again I don't know anyone who takes heartbreak well :) Was it just me or did it seem like he had been nipping at the bottle before the last show LOL He was all flushed and his speach was alittle slured. Just a good old boy. I did like seeing a 50 somthing women get as far as she did, kids think they know so much it was fun seeing a mom type make it two the top sort ta speak.

I also was glad Ethan won, but was surpised that Kim chose to keep him over Lex. IMHO, if she had chosen Lex to stay, the jury would have probably chose her as the ultimate survivor. Lex was okay, but at least on television, he sometimes came across as he already thinking he had this in the bag, and that he DESERVED TO WIN.

I know, what was Kim thinking? I knew she'd lost it when she voted Lex off. Now, if she'd voted Ethan off and kept Tom...well, then she might have lost out ultimately to Tom, but she really didn't stand a chance against Ethan.

My only problem with Survivor is that they edit everything so much that it causes you to draw conclusions "their way", istead of based on facts. Based on all the negative comments he was making, I was surprised that Lex wasn't voted off long before he started winning immunity challenges.

True Gt, we finally figured out that if they were slanting the show towards one person being voted off, that probably wasn't the person being voted off!

One of the people made the comment that Lex never said anything in front of them, all of those comments were made just to the camera, so maybe they really didn't know what he was like!

Ah Melissa, but then if it is supposed to be "Reality TV" it shouldn't be "just what we want you to see" reality TV.

I liked Fox's Boot Camp--not so much for the voting, backstabbing, etc., but actually seeing them get in shape and perform real physical challenges--not a lot of laying around in the fun and sun on that show (grin). I hope they bring it back sometime.

I have never seen that show, we only get 3 channels (sometimes!) CBS, NBC, and PBS. Some days one or the other doesn't come in!
