wrong format

i have a CD burner that has a burn CDV function. After i read some posts here i went to burn my first VCD. when i wanted to add the .avi file is said "it is not in the proper video CD format" and said it had to be either "NTSC 352x240 29.97Hz" or "PAL 352x288 25Hz" or "Film 352x240 29.97Hz" my questoin is how to i change my .avi file to be in one of those formats? thanks for that help O.K.

This link may get you where you need to go. I'm trying the same thing using RecordNow demo. Thought I was using mpeg1 but I still get the format error. Looking now for software to do the conversion for me.
