greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

HI All,

Ive just burned my 1st VCD (I THINK) using nero but it wont play on my dvd i have a Goodmans DVD3000 so im not sure if you can on this machine. Does anyone know?? Also when burning i used the video CD option but what is the difference between doing this and just a straight forward copy of the mpeg file. i think this would still play as it is a mpeg so how do i know if ive burned a VCD. What im saying is if i open Nero and just drag and drop my mpeg files onto the CD im sure they will still play ill have to try it but in the mean time does anyone know the answer i hate waisting CDs

Cheers Pete UK

Your Goodmans doesn't play CD-R/RW. There is a reason why there is a Video CD option in Nero: any other option will not create a playable VCD, so use it.
