greenspun.com : LUSENET : Elevator Problem Discussion : One Thread

Ok here it goes i have a US 1230 that runs fine to all floors except the top floor (unit is 6 stop) when it gets to the top floor doors start to open about 1 1/2 inches then closes . Also at that time when doors reverce i noticed the car pi goes blank also i lose all calls that are set up (car and hall) . This problem has been going on for some time now but its doing it more consestant now, before i could ride it for 2 hours and not see it but now its doing in about every time you come into the top floor. I have replaced the selector guides and im not loosing my DZ . One more detail that it just started doing at the top floor is when doors try opening then starts closing after about 1 1/2 inches is has down direction arrow (on pi ) comes on trys leveling down some then top floor pi comes back on then stops leveling down and relevels back into the top floors and starts it problem again. any insight would be helpfull!!!!

Answers

you can check the RC circuit on the door opeator if it s an ac operator ... Gmov on the break ... or other protection against self fx. check the encoder on your door operator ....if it s ok then you can check the door fastening on the operator belt ... if it s too weak then you can have something like a number of pulse error . so the door control card do not appreciate and reopen ... even without the DO command ...like reinit happy new Bug !!!

not to familiar with 1230 but if everything is ok except at top i'd try to jump the top limits cliff

check that your top limits and slow downs are working; there should be an input for the top floor; make sure that your lower limits are also working ; if top and bottom are made up there will give you a lost car

FOUND PROBLEM

OK WHAT WAS GOING ON AT THE TOP FLOOR WAS THE TWO SWITCHES WHERE ON THE CAM WHEN COMING INTO FLOOR BUT AT FLOOR LEVEL SOMETIMES THE DIRECTIONAL LIMIT WOULD MAKE AND BREAK (NOT ENOUGH WIPE). CHECKED THE LEVEL OF THE CAM IT WAS GOOD HAD TO MOVE THE DUCK TYPE MOUNTING SWITHES IN TOWARD CAM GIVING MORE WIPE AND RESET FINAL LIMIT SWITCH FOR PROPER DISTANCE. THANKS GUYS FOR THE IMPUT ELEVATOR_BBR RICHARD
