What happens if I beat my own record in a game?

Do the old record automatically get deleted?

Your old record will be *saved*, but will not appear anymore unless you delete the better score(s) uploaded above it. In otherwords, uploading a higher score will not cause problems.

There's a minor problem that "relieves" your confirmed state of an older recording when a newer higher one is uploaded. So, if someone confirms your low score and you upload a higher one then delete the higher one or the higher score is zeroed because of unplaybackability, the lower score will still appear but in an unconfirmed state. other than that, all recordings uploaded are preserved and we even have a backup of all inps in a different location than the website.
