I guess we all know John Deere bought Homelite some time ago. Well I heard today that they sold it to a Company in China. What next?

It's all part of the plan to make you and me the peasant class.

One is only peasant class if one thinks one is.

from what i've seen of the other classes, I'd prefer to be called a peasant, thanks very much.

Wonder if it was same Chinese company that bought the McCulloch name?

I used Homelites for years -- used to be dependable, inexpensive little chainsaws. These days Tonka toys are made better than Homelites.

Bite the bullet, dig into the wallet and get a Stihl. You'll cease to care who bought Homelite and McCulloch. And you'll cease replacing chainsaws for a long time.

Quality is always cheaper for the long haul.
