Looking for plans to build inexpensive wind mill

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I have lost my papers on where I can buy plans to build an inexpensive wind mill for electricity purposes and was wondering if anyone else may have run across this information. I'd appreciate the help.

It seems like somone in here had one for sale. I think they lived in Mo. It is wasn't in here it would be under one of the homesteading message boards in MSN I saw it.

Dawn, a person I that I can't remember his name, once posted that an international organization named Volunteers In Technological Assistance (VITA) has a great website for people who have to build things with very few resources. Sort of like a Peace Corps primer. Their website is www.vita.org . I'm sure you can find the information you are looking for, they are EXTREMELY thorough in their presentation. I hope this helps you, and again, sorry I couldn't remember the original post. I know it is the archives somewhere below though; I am just too sleepy (lazy?) to find it.

Got to feeling a little guilty about giving credit to the original person who let me know about it. . . his "handle" is (or was) john leake. Thanks John for an informative site.

That was extremely thoughtful of you j.r.guerra!! :o) Thanks for mentioning his post, as I had not seen it either. And I found it nice that you went to the trouble to look it up. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
