I found some lenses on ebay. Does anyone know anything about the comapany and are they good lenses.

Phoenix brand (500/1000mm telephoto lens)

Vivitar brand (AF 100-400mm)

Not sure about them. In my opinion,both of them aren't worth to buy. i advise u either save the money and opt for more famous and reliable new lenses,eg.canon,tamron and sigma or buy second-hand ones(of coz in good conditions). There has been incompatability problems when third-party lens is used with EOS body.But i'm not quite sure whether this still exists,so stick to canon lens so far as u can.

The Vivitar/Cosina/Phoenix 100-400 is a pretty dreadful lens...I've used one. Avoid it like the plague.

The 500 or 1000mm is likely to be a mirror lens, so avoid it.

It is best to stick with Canon lenses. You'll be far more satisfied.
