No Wax Floor

Is there anyone out here who knows what to do to make a "nowax" floor shine again? Ours is dull. Please e-mail Lyn at R-WAY@msn.com . Thanks

It is called a "floor finish" pretty much a wax for no wax floors. I can't remember any specific name brand.

Best way to clean all the gunk and buildup off the floor is ammonia diluted with water. Be sure to open the windows while doing it.

I am resubmiting the question with this in mind. We knew about the amonia and it does a great job. What we were asking is there any way to restore the shine, after it is clean. We were thinking polyurethane or stuff like that. Keep the ideas coming, one will work.

Thanks Wayne & Lyn

Wayne and LYN, When I moved here the nowax floor in my kitchen was a mess. I scrubbed it with pinesol and used Mop and Glow on it. It looks GREAT now, but everytime I scrub the floor, I have to re-coat with the Mop and Glow. It looks good and really shines! Good luck!

Years ago my husband use to Blue Coral (that is auto polish) my kitchen floor every 6 months or so. After the floor was washed, he took out our big hand buffer and got down on his knees to do the floor. You could see yourself in it, could skate on it and nothing penetrated. You did have to be careful walking on it the first day or so, but it was spectacular!
