Change of diet. Losin weight and some [preachin]

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

A change in diet has helped me lose a bunch of weight this fall and winter. I have a confession to make---all those references to how much spam, ham, bakon/eggs etc that I told ya'll about was in my younger days. We have almost totally quit eating red meat at the "house of hoot". We did have beef roasts for Christmas dinner--and it was good but---old dead chicken is now the meat of preferance around here now. The Colestrol, Trigliserides and all that other junk has been lowered quite a bit as well as our grocery bill. I feel much better and am losing weight at a slow steady rate.

Almighty God will hold us responsible for our actions. To know whats right and not do it is sin. It grieves Him and that's the last thing I want to do!!

How about spinach? It's almost my favorite vegetable nowadays. Good for the eyesight and easy on the pocketbook too.

Diana! Welcome to this site. Life sure is grand when belonging to a family like these on here. Check in often and post a bunch. EVERYBODY has something to tell that will benefit others. Ain't that what life's all about anyhow--helping others?

Let's see--just who was it that was gonna build some of those old "hoot donuts" and let me try'm out? I forget who volunteered that task or am I just dreamin? Wishful dreamin maybe. Boy, those dudes are fit to eat! Anyhow, welcome sis to the Country Families forum!! old hoot. Matt.24:44
