Dual radiator fans

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

I have a first run series mvf4s and I am having cooling problems, I have ordered the lower radiator to increase the capacity, but have been told that the new mvf4s come with dual fans, and the dealer will replace the single unit with a double?? Any truth to this?? Is it a recall??

I run about 100C , in the staes an it isn't hot outside

Hi David,

I have a 1999 F4S, with single radiator. Temperature of the engine rises to about 100 degrees centigrade in stop and go traffic, but drops to about 90 / 95 when the 2 cooling fans start working. Normally temperature stays around 80 degrees C. Do you have 1 or 2 cooling fans right now? At my bike, one's behind the radiator itself, and one's fitted in the airtube underneath the radiator. I thought I saw a single radiator bike with only one fan last year (no fan in the airtube), but I'm not really sure. About that recall, overhere in the Netherlands rumours have it that all owners of a single radiator bike (that means just a handfull) will be offered a conversion to 2 radiators for a reasonable price. This work should be carried out by the Dutch importer. I myself probably will not do that, because I would like to keep the bike original. Especially now rumours are getting stronger and stronger that MV Agusta might go out of business? Anyone any news on that topic??

Greetings from the Netherlands, Dries Juffer
