This morning --trimmed out the new back door I installed back in the spring. Well--I didn't trim it out--ole jeep did. I watched tho! So did ole Calvin--does that count? Then I had a weak moment this afternoon and decided my shop needed cleaned out. It STILL does! I loaded up the old 4 wheel pull chevy pickup [didn't make a dent in the shop] and visited "Wallyworld West" for about 2 minutes. It sure does unload quicker than it loads! It was just too cold to do any shopping with that cold S.W. wind blowin a gale through all the "goodies". REminded me of Kansas! Now, don't nobody from the Great State of Kansas holler on me--ya'll know it's true.

Lil Dumplin is on her way home from Madison Indiana and should be here in another couple hours or so I guess. The Chicken'n Noodles is slowly cookin now and will be waitin on'r when she's home. We gotta get our strength up for the HUGE birthday party tomorrow at noon. Maddie "big gurl" is gonna be 5. I think the strongest drink we'll have will be water. [The reason it's the strongest drink is because it can't be "cut" with anything to make it weaker.] Hey--that would've been a good stumper for ole Mitch.

Calllin for snow here next week and I didn't get my topper on the old chev yet. I hate to have a bed full'a snow and scratchin around for my log chain and jerk rope just so I can pull out some dummy that should've stayed home. Oh well, I used to do my share of that too--about 40 years ago!! I don't know if I got smarter or just older but I still go gommin around in the snow with the old chev. Mr deer have really ruined about 8 of my pine trees and northern spruce. The "spruce truce" is over. Anybody like deer meat?

Folks, a new year is fast approachin and within it holds a bunch of time that we can spend just however we choose. I choose to spend more of it doin the work that Almighty God asks us to do. An acquaintance of ours died yesterday, young, and apparently he didn't know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. So sad to see these things happen. I hadn't seen'm in quite awhile but assume he hadn't changed from the last time we talked.

Ya'll be careful this weekend and don't become a "stastistic" [is that spelled right?]. I've grown kinda partial to all my friends on here and don't really wanna lose any of ya'll. Happy New Year!!
