Who scored against Smoggies?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread |
I see that .cock & most of the papers have Speed as the second goal scorer. But NUFC.com has Bellamy as the scorer - who is right?

Speed's header, deflected in by CB almost on the line. Technically, I think it's Bellamy's goal.Apparently, BR is leaving it to the two of them to sort it out - could be an interesting 'conversation'. My guess is that GS will concede it.

If he doesn't, Supergob will never let him hear the end of it. ;-))

As Bellamy is in my fantasy team I have to say that there is more at stake here than you might at first imagine!

Bellamy's goal as he was the last Toon player to touch it. Also, he's a striker, and as such, a greedy b@$t@rd. I can't see Speed having a chance to claim it at all ;-)

Doesn't matter either way, a goal is a goal.Would Crossley have saved the header if Bellamy wasn't there? If so then Bellamy can claim it.

Apparently this goal is especially important to Bellamy as it's his 7th of the season which puts him ahead of his total (6) for his season at Coventry.
