Difference between EOS 3000 and RebelG?

Hi, I purchased a Rebel G but the camera turned out to be an EOS 3000. Can you compare the cameras. Which is a better camera or has better features.

They are the same camera with different names for different markets. (Rebel G is north america) (EOS 3000 is europe). same camera different name.

It used to be called EOS 500N. The 3000 may be slightly different, but the specs look the same.

Jim Strutz is correct - the Rebel G and the EOS 3000 are not the same camera with different names. Did you get ripped off on some eBay scam?

They do indeed appear to have similar specs, but I believe the Rebel G costs more than the 3000 - at least, it did here in Canada.

Sigh. Once again the links I post don't work unless you remove the spurious space characters.

Also, I should point out that the 3000 seems to lack E-TTL, unlike the Rebel G. If you were sold the former whilst being promised the latter, I'd say you were ripped off.

AHH im sorry for my incorrect answer, yes the specs do look the same. I'm in N. America and all these Canon desinations drive me wacko sometimes. Sorry for the mistake.
