I used a chamfered wheel on the upper of a seam welder to allow a thickness ratio of 1 to 5 welding stainless for a milk cooler at Dairy Equipment Corp in Wisconsin. The lower was 5/8" wide, the upper was 3/16" wide. This caused the nugget to form closer to the top, centering it on the faying surface.
