Yes it works, but the results you get depend on: 1) Your familiarity with the whole process 2) The quality of the capture card you use 3) The method you use to get your VHS tapes converted to VCD format As you can see, there are a lot of variables at work here. I would suggest you read everything you can at www.vcdehelp.com, www.doom9.net and www.digital-digest.com about making VCDs. Also, please be aware that many standalone DVD players have problems playing CD-R media, so even if you do everything correctly, your DVD player may refuse to play your discs. You can still play them on a PC though. You should probably start by burning to CD-RW as you're likely to have a lot of failures at first. Finally, please don't post in all capital letters. These posts usually get ignored here. Because of the holidays I decided to try to answer your question and help you out, but posting in all caps is a real good way on this forum to not get any help.
