p-aminophenol and hydrochloric acid reacts 1:1. I believe it's a regular acid-base reaction between the acid and the aminogroup. All you have to figure out is how muc p-aminophenol you have and mix it with the same amount of HCl. Since you mix chemicals yourself, I assume you know how to figure out what the equivalent amounts of your chemicals according to their concentrations.

from "What you want to Know About Developers by Dr. Edmund Lowe on Pg. 99.

Water.........................1 liter Para-aminophenol(base)......3.5 grams Sodium Sulfite.............. 90 grams Sodium Sulphate .............40 grams

no time are given, but the developer can be used up to 90 degress F.. 70 degress is recommended and you have to increase the time by 5% for each roll.

If you convert the Aminophenol to the sulfate, you then have GRADOL. Which is used in Edwal's Super 20 formula.
