I have the opprotunity to purchase a 1969 Baldwin Hamilton Studio Piano. It seems to be in great condition. From what I have seen it appears that it wansn't played much at all. In fact the only things I see that it needs is a good tuning, an adjustment on one hammer, and the action is a bit tight. I believe that the action is slow/tight because it wasn't used much. The selling prices is $1480. Please give me your opinions on this unit. Is this piano worth the investment? Will the action loosen up through repeated use? I know that Baldwin is a great model.. but I'm used to playing on Yamaha's. Any info you all can provide me is appreciated. Thanks.

I have had this vintage Baldwin Hamilton and played it for about fifteen years for three to four hours a day and this piano still has a lot of life in it. The action is incredibly still fantastic. The sound is not as rich definitely but when I am waiting for a delivery and must be in the front room I play and love it after having it about thirty-two years. I think it is still a wondeful instrument and am considering purchasing a new one but I already have three pianos so maybe I'll trade in my 1969 Hamilton. I have owned a Yamaha and a Kawai upright and prefer the Baldwin. A 52" Steinway is my dream someday.
