info on art installation that burned in the 80's

I am trying to find information on a Art Installation that was on Geary Street close to the Filmore. It burned down years ago, but I believe it was were the People's Temple was. Not sure about that. also seem to remember a Saint Francis theme to it. A friend took me to see it many years ago, but we got there late and I didn't get to see it all. Then it burned down. Any info you could give me would be great. I can't seem to find anyone who remembers it? Did I just imagine this? Thanks for your help.

I remember the fire but I can't pinpoint the year. Yes there was a St Francis theme to the art. Not a clue about the artist's name. The building,I beleive was the Albert Pike Memorial Temple, 1809 Geary. Yes it was the site of the Peoples Temple. The 1982 Polk directory does not list the address, so the fire may have been before 1982.

Good luck in your research.

Just rechecked that address-- it was 1859 Geary Blvd. The Korean Central Presbyterian Church was at the site in 1982. I think that puts the fire after 1982.
