Most likely the problem is that your VCD player does not support CD-R media. You could try burning to CD-RW as sometimes players that don't play CD-R discs will play CD-RW. By the way, please don't post in all upper case letters. Most of the time I just ignore people who post in all upper case letters in the forum. I have noticed that posts in all uppper case letters rarely get any answers, so I suspect that other people don't answer these posts either.

I have similar problem, and by writing the MPEG-1 file to a CD-RW won't help as well. The MPEG file is made by using Pinnacle Studio. I then use HP RecordNow software to write it to both CD-R and CD-RW. The software ask for writing as a music or as data. Same as you, I chose data. Both CD-R and CD-RW failed to work in my DVD player (which also supports VCD and CD-R). Not sure whether we need to get a separate software to "burn" the MPEG. I don't think my HP RecordNow or your MYCD software complies with the white book standard for buring VCD. Is there any shareware or freeware available to do this "burning" process ? I'm having a very tight budget to make the video. Thanks. Ken
