What and how do I make a vcd?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I have downloaded alot of movies from a internet site. They are taking up my hard drive space. I want to burn them on a disk, but don't have a clue how to change the format or what the format even is. This is all new to me, and I really could use some help. I already have the movies on my pc, I just need to know what and how to burn them onto a disk. Is there anyone who can help me out? I would really appreciate it.

Well the format u need is Mpeg layer one for most Dvd players, It depends on what format u have but most of the time all u have to do is use NERO burning tool vcd or svcd format and thats it.... sometimes though if the movie is more then 80Mins long u need to cut it so that it will fit on two cds. Note to encode the movie to mpeg takes 6 to 7 hours on my 1000mhz 128DDR computer so be warned it takes a long time.

IF YOU HAVE THE ADAPTECH BURNER SOFTWARE .WHEN YOU OPEN IT JUST CLICK ON DATA INSTEAD OF AUDIO AND DRAG YOUR FILES JUST LIKE YOU DO THE AUDIO I HAVE DONE THIS MANY TIMES.
