Hard question to answer.

I don't know anything about the Ashley brand, whether it is high or low quality.

With that said, if I were you I would expect to pay $150 to $350 for a used insert without the piping, and at least $100 more if any piping is included. A brand new unit with piping will run over $1000 easily.

Let me know what type of a deal you get. I am in the market for an insert and am intersted in what others are paying.

I recently bought an Ashley f.p. insert that was 8 yrs. old. for 400 bucks. I don't know if its the same model as the one you are talking about. Ashley is a well known & well built brand. I looked up the price of the new ones and they are about $1,200- $1,400 bucks.
