The actual day I plan on Waking up with the kids, opening presents, cooking a really big meal and see what the rest of the day holds.

Oh yeah on Christmas Eve we will have cheese ball and other staples, then each open one present.

Melinda sounds like you have energy to burn!!!

I just try to get through one day at a time around here. Over the week-end the kids put up their tree in the family room. They decorate it with all of their homemade ornaments. They did a nice job.

Sunday afternoon we went looking for a new couch for our family room, but didn't find anything suitable...

Yesterday I cleaned house and the kids helped me wrap gift exchange presents and some other small items. They like to wrap!!

Today I met Cale at lunch time, and we picked out our big tree for the living room. He will bring it home from work with him, and probably put it up tonight.

Tomorrow is the pre-schoolers Christmas Party. I have everything almost ready, just have to bake some sugar cookies for the kids to ice and decorate.

Thursday I have to help at a book-fair at the high-school, then I am helping make bags of candy for our community sing-a-long, which is Saturday.

Then Sunday evening is the 4-H Christmas Party here. In between I want to finish decorating the house, bake a bunch of cookies and do all the normal chores too!! I am not thinking beyond Sunday yet, as the next week promises to be just as busy!!!

Melinda, you wore me out reading all you are doing! I'm not near as busy but I like it that way. I've almost finished my Christmas shopping and just got home from the post office mailing off gifts. I still have 2 more to mail in a day or two (one goes to some place in Indiana!). I've got some candy to make for neighbors and family. The next two Wednesdays I'll be going to community Advent services. The 19th is our church Christmas play and then of course I'll go to church the 23rd. The afternoon of the 23rd I'm having my daughter and her family and my MIL and FIL over for a Christmas dinner. We will exchange gifts with them at that time. That will probably be the highlight of my Christmas, seeing my grandchildren and watching them open the gifts I got them. My husband and I always open our gifts Christmas Eve. My husband can't wait til Christmas morning! Christmas morning we will have a late breakfast, brunch if you will. Then I will cook us a nice dinner. We are invited to his sister's Christmas day but I think we are going to stay home instead. They live so far away, we just don't want to spend so much of Christmas on the road. After that, I'll need a break for a day for two to rest up!!

PS, don't forget the reason for the season! Happy Birthday Jesus!

I am guessing that that somewhere in Indiana is to a relative of mine. I'd ask what you got her but I think that would ruin it. You can tell me after she gets it. And what she gets you.

Let's ee, we did Christmas with you guys. Sat before we'll have dinner here with Gary's family maybe a few presents and play Balderdash and some other game. Then on Christmas day we'll take part of Gary's family to the Mongolian BBQ for their present. Can't afford much this year and it is such a neat restaurant. So now I only have a couple presents to buy.
