Burning multi-part VCD help??

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I have a movie (VCD, PAL) total size 1.18Gb which I have also split into two *.mpg 's. Is there any easy/special way I should burn this/these to a standard (eg 80min) CD ?

What happens when it gets to the end of the first CD on playback, will the screen just go blank, or will the burning software have automatically created some kind of prompt for the viewer, eg "Please insert CD 2" ?

Please advise !!

Depending on what you used to edit, there's nothing special you have to do to burn. However, I just warn you that there is a very slight possibility that you might have to demux/remux both halves to get them compliant again. If you get messages from your burning software that your files aren't compliant, try to demux/remux. The screen will just go blank when the end of the 1st VCD is reached.

i would edit the movies in a video editing software package such as premier and i would at the end of the movie insert the text "Please insert cd 2" or something like that...
