Article on UV Light Sources for Contact Printing

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo: Alternative Process : One Thread

There is a new article by Sandy King on my web site, Unblinking Eye, entitled "Ultraviolet Light Sources for Printing with the Alternative Processes." This is a definitive article by a well known large format photographer and master carbon printer. Mr. King has tested numerous UV light sources with gum bichromate, Van Dyke brown, kallitype, cyanotype, and carbon process, and has reviewed all the available information on platinum and palladium printing.

Great article. This is some of the info I needed so that I wouldn't have much testing to do. Thanks!

Many thanks for putting such a useful article on the net. I use the cyanotype process and get seasonal affective print disorder!
