A blessing of a day-Plain Talkin '

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

You never know how a day will turn out. And you can sure tell I'm a homesteader to get excited about such seemingly trivial stuff, but I'm happy.

I was going to fill up the canning shelf today-looking forward to it, been a few months since I've seen those jars lookin' so pretty on the shelves, and clean u the yard some. But, Gary took the day off since the weather was so beautiful-about 70* on the 5th of Dec. So I started cleaning the yard, insulation board, particual board, etc. That led to more cleaning, then Gary moved a car that's sat in the same place for over 2 years(his Aunts) and we cleaned and mowed that area. Then we mowed the garden that his uncle was supposed to bush hog, it was really high, but the rider handled it well, drove it really slow. God all kinds of work done outside. Stuff that was really overwhelming. Gave me a hope for spring. We ddin't quite get the dumpster filled this tme, so we're getting most of the trash gone. One building left to empty out.

Thank God for simple pleasures.

Isn't that a good feeling?

Family now has a computer at home, arrived yesterday, early Christmas. I'm playing on it a bit tonight, but it's time to quit....

It is nice to get things organized isn't it? This nice weather has been great for getting things done outside!

This will be my last day on this week. I am taking tomorrow off to take care of some business and go Christmas shopping. My goal is to buy for 10 people and only spend $100.00. I will let you know on Monday how it works out.
