Classic Anarchy-George W Bush

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Anarchy Again : One Thread

This is to be the first of a series of postings entitled "Classic Anarchy" A selection of some of the best debatative and arguementative posts from various posters from the old board. Since the old board seems to be constantly getting hacked, and since these postings seem pretty good, I decided to repost the "best of the best" ones here, so that they may be read and reread, and new responces be made.

So, with that much said, I take you back to September 2nd, 2001 to see Dick Tator's classic post,

George W. Bush

I just want to have one conversation in which we all exchange our differing openions and not offend another. Wendell, George, Vic, can you three have a decent conversation on the job our President has been doing in his first year in office? Do you aprove? Disaprove? And NO "I think he should legalise rape and kill all non-white sub-humans." None of that shit. You say youre smart. Now prove it with an intellegent conversation. What do you say? If you can do this maybe I wont trash you as much.

Well, he's not perfect and he's not that great of a public speaker, but he's much better than Clinton was, and probably better than Gore would have been. That's my opinion, but I'm a right-wing conservative republican religious guy.

I think that he is doing a better job than Gore would have in some areas but not in others. These tax cuts are just there to pay off the rich people who got him in office. And he isnt doing a very good job on comprimising on the enviromental issues like he did for the stem cell research. He could be a great president if he wasnt in the pockets of the upper classes. Gore would have set back enviromental policies by abandoning moderates like me. He is too extream on the issue. Most Southerners are conservationists but he wants to outlaw hunting, fishing, and other outdoor stuff rural Americans hold dear. Rural America understands that if you dont save the enviroment there wont be anything to hunt or to fish for. There wont be any lakes or rivers to swim in. There wont be anywhere to go camping. And he wants to destroy dams so fish can swim. Thats a clean renewable sorce of electricity and he wants to destroy it? Plus thats how the south gets most of its power. Gore? Bush? Its like chosing between Cancer and Aids.

Harry Brown Pres. 2004

-- Dick Tator (you@cant.resist), September 02, 2001.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah, but Bush is willing to tear down National Forests to make room for highways and oil refineries. Doesn't that sound a little ridiculous to you? Bush is just another puppet, with his strings tied to bank accounts.

-- Tamara (Twilborn@earthlink.net), September 02, 2001.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't like Bush, so I don't have one.

-- Tamara (Twilborn@earthlink.net), September 02, 2001.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Both the left and the right have their buisness that they get their money from. The right has oil, tabacco, and the NRA. The left has Hollywood, Unions, and the People's Republic of China. They are all corupt. Go Libertarian! Harry Brown Pres. 2004!

-- Dick Tator (you@cant.resist), September 02, 2001.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let's just get rid of the government. Too much abuse of power, wouldn't you say?

-- Tamara (Twilborn@earthlink.net), September 02, 2001.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is rules against abusing power in the Libertarian Party. We dont want it to be taken over by fakes like the Reformist were with Pat Bucanon. Go to LP.org. You might at least find it interesting.

-- Dick Tator (you@cant.resist), September 03, 2001.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think he was right to boycott the Durban conference. He has more African-Anericans in higher positions that the Dems ever did but still takes a hammering. Also, I thought it was despicable how Gore tried to make political capital from the murder of James Byrd. Whether or not you approve of the death penalty, I think executing his killers certainly sent out a more hardline (right or wrong) message than the ridiculous 'hate-crime' grandstanding of Gore. Unfortunately, I'm not really too impressed with his environmental policies, but this was sadly a lesser-of-two-evils situation, as Gore would've been equally compromised and dishonest but more mendacious about it.

-- vic twx (canolli@triage.org), September 03, 2001.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have never under stood hate crimes. If I go out and kill someone because of their race I will be sentenced to death. What are hate crime laws going to do other than give the Big G more say in my life. Regulate how I feel? Whats next? And who defines "hate". Are you a hateful person if you just disagree with a prominent black leader? Are you hateful if you dont beleive in Affermative Action? It will just be a tool used by the left to surpress speach. No more Rush. No more Neal Boortz. No more Ken Hammblin(he's the leading black conservitive in talk radio today). Ol Ken Hammblin. One of the top conservitive talk radio hosts in the country. And THE top Black Conservitive talk radio host in the country. Why is he never mentioned in Jet Mag.? Because Jet is more a Political tool than it is an informative magazine. Is his speach "hate speach"? I think not. Yet because he disagrees with Jesse Jackson it will be considered so. Dont let the government regulate how we feel, what we think, and what we say.

Just because what we say might offend another doesnt mean that we cant. There isnt a right to be a non-offended person. You dont have the right to be happy. You have only the right to presue it.

-- Dick Tator (you@cant.resist), September 03, 2001.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't understand reverse racism. Whetther it's white on black or black on white, it's still racism, right? So where did this "reverse" shit come in? the reverse of racism would be tolerance, so why is it tack on to any crime commited against white people? Is it because white people aren't really a race, and so it's reversed?

-- Tamara (Twilborn@earthlink.net), September 04, 2001.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I like to think of myself as above race. My hate is an equal oppertunity kind of hate. I hate both men and women. Whites and blacks. Asians. I dont care what they are. I just hate simple minded people. They come in all forms. There are those that arent simple minded people here. I Like them. I only loVe one person. She doesnt know it. Her stepDad would kill me. I see her around sometimes. Maybe a not_so_hated person is what she needs. I dont deserve her. No one does.

-- Dick Tator (you@cant.resist), September 04, 2001.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You should still go after her. If NO one is good for her, then you would definitely be high up there on the list. Go for it :)

-- Tamara (Twilborn@earthlink.net), September 05, 2001.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maybe.

-- Dick Tator (you@cant.resist), September 05, 2001.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not maybe. If you want her, you shaould have her.

-- Tamara (Twilborn@earthlink.net), September 06, 2001.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think George W. has the little boy lost appeal that Quayle had. Kind of cute. He is good as president only by the fact that he wants to do his father proud and would really rather not be the president. I do not like the smirk he gets when he seems to be nodding to his cronies when a reporter asks a pertinent question. I think his exaspirations make him decide quicker option directions that others in his place might, who enjoy sitting on the top of controversy. Deep down I think he just wants to be a Texan, not head of the UN conglomerate someday, unless it it to please his daddy again. When I was first hit with the fact that he was to be our president for the next four years I felt drained and weak. Whether I see him mocked on Saturday Night Live or in person for a news conference, I smile just the same. I can't describe it other than silliness mixed with low key hysteria.

-- glacier consequence (applebucket@yahoo.com), September 06, 2001.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I would rather have a stupid president. If he were smart then he would try and increase his power. He would try and take over the world. Be glad that he is stupid and content.

-- Dick Tator (you@cant.resist), September 08, 2001.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's why Bushie doesn't bother me all that much. I don't like his affects, granted.

-- ****** (applebucket@yahoo.com), September 09, 2001.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Georgie himself doesn't worry me. He's just a stooge for the REAL powers in this country. It's THOSE people that I worry about.

-- Nexar (Icant@tellyou.com), September 11, 2001.

Exactly. Always watch out for the guy with a wad of bills in his pocket.

He (George W.) has lost a lot of respect from me. He has traded our Liberties for a Safety that we all know doesnt exist. Bad W.

-- Tator (you@cant.resist), December 02, 2001.

I agree. I think a lot of what he has done has lulled people into a false sense of security. When reality comes, a lot of these people are going to be caught off-guard, and totally unprepared to deal with it.

-- Okie Dan (okiedan@oklahoma.net), December 02, 2001.

Society has never been secure. I like George W, but he's over reacting because the general population is having shits.

-- J. Mac (mac_xavier@yahoo.com), December 02, 2001.

So did Reagan! I mean, the whole concept of "star wars" and "SDI missle protection system" is to lull the public into a sense of security. Now, I'm not saying it is the RIGHT thing to do, but one of the president's jobs is to prevent the spread of chaos, and provide security to the public....

-- Davey Rootbeer (yankeefans2@juno.com), December 02, 2001.

The only thing I belive right now is that if any other person man or woman would have been president, Sept 11th would have never happened. And it is true hate crime charges are reserved for whites only. Drug testing is part of the sovietization of America and has nothing to do with reality just reagans cronies trying to make America like it was in WWII. G.W Busch will give us another Iran/Contra its just a matter of time. All these people want to rewrite the rules.

(then again, i have no Cable/attention spam so i just don't really know) The Media Paint's him up to be the same lovable goofy Character as his father was... And then suddenly we've reverted back to the Inquisition/dark ages... I'm in Firm Belief that Bush did this to Make what his father started work... Christians believe that we are the last generation to exist before "Christ's Return" and all the media going off about Bush praying in church... Bush praying in His Office with members of his Cabinet... Bush was quoted on how his Faith Based Inititives would not erode the "Bridge between Church and State" I know that Fucker Can spell Potato... I swear it's reverse Psychology... Emperor Norton for President!

-- Jesus H. Malverde (quasi_the_bear@yahoo.com), June 21, 2002.

To the person from Denmark!!!

Your attitude and others from europe really upset me! When you need our help or our money you are there begging for us to come help but when it is our need you attack us with statements like the above.

We give tons of money and support to more countries than we should and this is what we get.

If it were not for us and England you would be speaking German right now!!!!

Another thing that really makes me mad is that after the september 11th attacks everyone was behind us but so many people including a minority in the US have forgotten who attacked us and who help finace the attacks.

-- Shawn Hunter (svhunter@excite.com), March 10, 2003.

I stumbled onto this website but I'll contribute to this dialogue about President George W. Bush. I am grateful for his moral and courageous leadership. Finally we have a leader who understands and takes seriously his oath to protect and defend our constitution. I see great days ahead for our nation. Those who set out to discredit the president will eventually have to apologize for their slanderous conduct. This is a great nation. We do have problems, but under the president's leadership, we will see great times again.

-- Jeanne Grier (jeannegrier@yahoo.com), April 26, 2003.

Hey yourself, Boner Hunter. You ever actually look at the numbers you're so busy "quoting", felchtard? We sent more money to South Korea just to let us not attack North Korea some more, than we gave to all of Europe and Africa combined in the same year. We spend enough on protecting South Korea to give each and every American a $200 bonus every year, and we were supposed to be out of there 50 years ago! Our military decides where we spend our money, and it's not on humanitarian causes or 'helping' other countries. Denmark doesn't need our money, and neither does the rest of the world. You might believe all that conservative diarrhea you're sucking down off the airwaves, but the U.S. isn't going to be on top for much longer. D'you realize that G.W. sent us over the $4 trillion debt mark just sending us into Iraq, and he's going to be out of office before the total cost even gets figured out! We're going to Debtor's Prison if this keeps up, 'cause the EU is going to own everything by the end of the decade. Keep making us look bad, you brainless yahoo. Well, I should say, "keep making the US look bad." I'm ditching this festering ass- pit for Japan as soon as physically possible - at least they have a representative democracy over there. Oh yeah, maybe you didn't know, but the _majority_ has forgotten who attacked us. It was, uh, what's his name, Osama Bin Laden? And no matter how you use your Alabama spelling to rearrange it, that's not going to come out to Saddam Hussein. Not even as an anagram. Bin Laden did it, Bin Laden did it, Bin Laden did it. Try that out for yourself. Oh, and you know who's fault it was? Ours. For doing the same thing we're doing in Iraq and Afghanistan right now. Sorry, it's the truth. Oh, and if the people of Europe would have been speaking German if not for us, who will prevent the sovereign nations of Africa and Asia Minor from speaking Amerenglish? Just watch the PRC nuke the US and come out the hero, all thanks to idiots like yourself. Well, have fun ruining the country.

-- Sleet01 (sleet01@hotmail.com), June 16, 2003.

I read what was written above. Some people have good points to make and others should have thought more before they started typing. Some have shown their intelligence by their choice of vernacular.

Here are my two cents. First, in this country, it does not matter what the majority or the minority opinion is for a president. We have an electoral college that elects a the presidents. The public voting is just to discover what the people want. It does not matter if the populous vote was a dead heat or a landslide. I did not want Gore to be president due to his stances. I also was not in favor of President Bush; however he was the "lesser of the two evils." I did not vote for either of them but for a third party candidate that received little media attention. People are being fed by the media and in schools that this country should only be a two party system: Democrats and Republicans. They fail to mention that the Republicans were a third-party when President Lincoln was elected.

Second, what is making people think that President Bush is stupid? I have never heard anything that supports this claim. How much of this name calling is due to what the media reports? How well do you trust the media?

Third, there are complaints as to President Bush attacking Iraq. I do not have the information that he has at his disposal as to whom and how Osama Bin Laden was supported in his activities. I do know that former President Clinton was big on talk when terrorists attacked our troops abroad. He would claim that the U.S. would retaliate, but didn’t. If Clinton had respect for his position, he would have treated it with dignity and would have pursued the terrorist that committed the crimes against this country.

Is this country perfect? No. We have lost sight of how and why this country was established. We must, as a country, repent and turn BACK to God. Do not forget that this country was founded on Christianity. If you doubt this, read the letters of the Founding Fathers. And do not through the phrase “Separation of Church and State” at me and claim that it is Constitutional. This was in a letter from Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Association of Connecticut.

-- Scott (ostink@hotmail.com), July 01, 2003.

Jefferson also smoked weed, do you support that as well?

-- Bryan Sonnega (hateyoulovepunk@aol.com), July 14, 2003.

Jefferson also fucked black women. I support that!

-- Jimmy Dean (jimmied@hotmail.com), September 17, 2003.

I think George Bush is an ass hole i think that he's not fit to run a lemonade stand rather then a hole country he has no idea what he is doing he does not no what is good for this country nothing can help out pathetic country but we do not need him fucking it up any more he has already done enough damage he had no right to invade Iraq he just did it for the oil we invaded iraq and killed innocent people and lost many of are own men for just one single man who was thought to have weapons of mass distruction but did we find them yet no! we have brought are selves no good what we should be worrying about is osama binladen he is the only one that has caused problems and he needs to be destroyed

I hate the U.S.A but i at least want what good for it
