Gee, those icycles were quick to form! And the pup is a cutie. Thanks!

Brooks,Thanks about the cutie dog, he sure is.
The icecycles got huge! I broke the ones off that were hanging in front of my porch. I didn't want one to fall and put another hold in my head. LOL!
I think part of the reason that they formed so quickly was due to the inside being so warm due to the insert, the outside being so cold, and the fact that I have attic fans which automatically move the air around. I think that somehow, the attic collected some of the warm air from the inside of the house. They were beautiful, but I couldn't take the chance of either son or myself getting one in the head.
We did break off one of the larger ones to use as a spike (as in hair) on the snowman's head. Too bad that I didn't take a picture of it!

so, apoc, does it snow where you live?

Barefoot,We normally get around 6-7 inches a year. I got that on Wednesday! Wonder what the rest of the winter will be like.
I really like picture 12 above. It was still snowing, but it was so beautiful. Did you get that snowball I threw in your open window?

Barefoot probably had the window closed and the a/c on.I'll have to recheck the photos when I get home. My work pc can't do them justice.
Mid 60s expected tomorrow, which is almost 20 degrees above normal for us.

I think the pic of your son is perfect for a Christmas card this year!Strange sights in Durham: A crape myrtle, what leaves it has left are gold and russet--and it's still flowering!!! And there's a very confused daylily blooming in my backyard. Still have roses blooming, begonias, impatiens, a few other things and, of course, pansies. And two diehard tomato plants, lol!
The City is warning of water restrictions within two weeks.

Old Git,That picture of my son is cute! But I can't use it as a Christmas card, cause you don't know what he did with that snowball he was making right after I snapped the picture.
Lucky for him I got my hand over the camera before it hit me!

Wow, Apoc! What a storm. I don't think you'll see any grass for another few months. Very nice shots!

Today, it got up to a blistery 55 degrees. I just got home a couple of minutes ago. Most of the snow is gone, except for the snowman and the snow fort that we made. There are a couple of places on the north side that have a little. Since it was dark, I couldn't really go down exploring in the woods to see if there is still snow there.Oh, the server that is serving those pictures will be down from 7- 7:30 central tonight, just in case anyone wanted to look and cool down again. LOL
It was a blast while it lasted. Somehow I think I'll be seeing a whole bunch more of it before this winter is out.
