New Hotmail Account

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

Hi everyone. I have just finished up setting up my hotmail account. If anyone is on, you can e-mail me there and I will see if it is working! It was very easy to set up, only took about 10 minutes. I reccomend it to everyone and then we won't have to worry about viruses. My new e-mail is

melissa_n65@hotmail.com

You can e-mail me all you want now!!!

I have been getting stuff there. If you are typing it in don't forget the underscore: melissa_n65@hotmail.com (No spaces) or just click on the address right by my name. I hope it is working OK. I just don't have the intelligence to figure out any other troubles today!!!

I haven't kept up with all this virus stuff, would you tell me why hotmail is good. I have two hotmail accounts, so maybe I should start using one of them here

From what I have been told and what I read on their site, it is almost impossible for a virus or worm to slip through their checks. So I have decided to use this new address for the forums!

I thought I would give hotmail a try but it seems that hotmail and msn are one in the same. At least that is the impression I got. I'm not quite sure how this stuff works.

Melissa, I tried sending a note to your new address and it got bounced back. Maybe I typed it wrong.

I had a message from Jo in there, plus several responses, so I would say it is working correctly.

I click off a few words to you new email about 4:30, a minute or two later I recieved a message from Mail Administrator with an attachment, which I did not open or read before dumping, let me know.

Whats this hotmail cost? Where do you get it?

It is free, just go to www.hotmail.com and then just look for the place it says to start a new account. I don't know what yours was unless it tells you you have a virus or something. It is supposed to screen them really well for viruses.

Maybe someone who uses it can explain it better. Hey Rick you on here today??? Give us some tips!!!
