A Christian's death and life. [preachin]

This is another post that He asked me to make. In obedience to Him I am doing so. It's a pleasure to write this one.

The young man was holding his old dad's hand. His sister and mother were standing beside the old man and weeping slightly. Nobody was in real stress although the old gentleman's time was short and they all knew it including Mr. Cook. [No, I don't know'm at all. This is the name given to me] The family was long time Christians and had been active in their little country church most of their lives. It had become a very enjoyable and blessed habit too. Mr. Cook had farmed all his adult life [like the lost man I wrote about in the "hell" post] and had also been very succeful. He'd given more than the 10% that's commanded in the Scriptures for the tithe. Always handy to help anybody that needed it without question or hesitation.

He had been a Christian even before marry'n his wife of 45 years and she before meeting him. They never quit working and trusting Jesus Christ all their married life. Always happy and positive in their thoughts and deeds--they were just a pleasure to be around.

This day came just as they had known and prepared for starting almost 50 years before for him.

A tape of Southern Gospel [their favorite music] was playing softly in the background as they started talking about what was to happen. He wasn't afraid because he had turned all these matters over to the One who died for him. He started smiling really big, tears of joy came into his old tired eyes and then they started to really sparkle! He told his wife Martha---"Goodbye sweetheart--I see Jesus"! A swift wind accompanied with the smell of fresh picked roses filled the room. The wind ceased but the aroma of roses remained. Mr. Cook was dead.

He was escorted to Paradise by two of the most beautiful beings that he had ever seen! They were BIG too! Both of'm stood over eight feet tall and each with huge swords of gold and measuring over 6 feet long! He was in Paradise within seconds and was almost overwhelmed by the beauty of this marvelous place. Some of the greenest grass he'd ever seen, the flowers of colors that he couldn't describe! He saw saints of old stolling around on those perfectly manicured lawns that held many beautiful shade trees. A river was running down the center of this Place. Folks were lined up on the sides of that beautiful waterway. The slow and gentle movement of the crystal clear water was also beyond description. It was the River of Life!

All those times he had had problems on earth and turned them over to Jesus Christ were completely gone now as all tears were wiped away from his eyes as he entered the gate.

He started walking around and seeing folks that he'd never met before but still he knew them by name. They knew and recognized him and welcomed him by name. Moses was there along with David, Paul, John, Matthew and Luke. He asked his guide to take him to Jesus. All the saints were fine but he wanted to see the One who died for him! On the way to where the Master was--Mr. Cook saw his earthly parents. Quick hugs and he was on his way again. He very quickly met the Master and fell to his knees in praise and thanksgiving! Jesus reached down and with His Mighty Hand on his---told him to arise!

This is just some of the things I was allowed to "see". NO bad visions or experiences were witnessed by me. I am almost overcome by the beauty of heaven and all the pure love that's there.

As in the other post on hell---I don't know these folks, where they lived or anything else about them. No need to---they are Christians and are well taken care of. To God be the Glory, Praise and Honor.

Thank you Jesus for this little peek into another Christian life as it ended and then began! Old hoot gibson, your servant on earth. Matt.24:44
