I have this project due tomorrow and i need to know for the poem For Annie what is another type of style that I can use. I already have interupted sentence, and first person-point of view. I need one more. Please help. Oh and i also need to know what it means or a summary. Please help Thank you!!

I think you mean separate techniques. One of my favorites, little noted by Poe or anyone else is his deep word music in using anagramatic rhyming eg. With rue and the beautiful Puritan pansies

Here you see the letters and sounds repeated and reblended in pleasant sound relationships, the creation of a beautiful line, faithful above all to echo and rhythm so in keeping with the state of the dreaming dead man in the casket. In other words, more than the rich assonance and alliteration and with deeper significance and ironic onomatopaeia of the soft sounds of the tomb.

What it means is that the dead man is not quite dead(in spirit of course) and wrapped in the finest memories of his love, truth and beauty. His lingering vision is of course offset by the realistic details of the grisly tomb giving us that peculiar blend of high passion and horror. Compare this to any other romantic poem about the dear departed or the next life or melancholic remembrance and the discordance is striking.
