O.K., Melissa, we will do it your way! Todays second question is: Your standing in line with your friend who is behind you, but yet you are behind your friend, how?

#1 could be ice

#2 You have more than one friend!

ice! another tricky one Mitch, I was thinking icicle at first but the last 2 letters didn't fit, that is why I wondered if it was send or end (using one letter or two) the kids will love this one...it will keep Megan busy for a while!

You are standing back to back, doesn't really make sense does it??

A second gold star for Melissa, todays third question: What is the name of the tallest reaching bird and where was it last seen by modern humans?

-- mitch hearn (moopups@citlink.net), November 29, 2001.

I learned this a few months ago, while researching for homeshcooling. The tallest bird lived in New Zealand and they were called Moas. They were about 13 feet tall and they became extinct, I think, about 300 years ago.

There was also a bird called an Elephant Bird in Madagascar that was 10 feet tall and weighed over a thousand pounds! (Now, THAT's a big drumstick!) :-)
