pardon me, but as an oldtime "debunker" (98 online and 97 IRL) I thought it was common knowledge that those predicting disaster would "rewrite history"...they would have to, given that y2k wasn't going to cause even slight disruptions. Those predicting outright "doom" were in it for the money; many good netizens tried to stop them from deceiving the technological illiterate. They were attacked mercilessly online and IRL. Time has proven out the debate, and those with egg on their face will probably never admit to being part of the scam....or to being "taken in by it".
