I'd prefer Celtic or Bluegrass. I bought my wife the Dulcimer for Christmas. (She sneaked and got it early) She has learned several Christmas songs and is now ready to progress on.

Anyone here play an instrument?

Hi Ken. I am a guitarist, with many other insdtruments that I learn as I can. I like to compose, and arrange songs. Is the dulcimerit a lap, or hammered. ? If it is lap - how many strings does it have. What are the names of the notes played when picking an open string (highest note - thinnest string first). I don't have any music specifically for dulcimer, and any sheet music I have is not currently e-mailable. I did tab chart Away in a Manger in an MS file last year last year, and can e-mail it to you, next week, once I access it from work. Take care.

I have a hammered dulcimer that I will someday master. I spend more time trying to tune the bloody thing that I do playing it.
