42 POUND TURKEY!!!!!

We just butchered old tom for Thursday, yesterday morning. He was huge,I mean HUGE. He dressed out at about 42 pounds!!We had to scamble to find an oven big enough. We had already butchered the hog for the baked ham and had the deer stakes laid out. We will be eating for weeks!!!!!!!I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving.God Bless you all!!!

I am jealous our "Tom" only weighed 25 pounds!! Just kidding! For our first time with turkeys I was real pleased. Will be planning on more in the spring! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Denise

Hmmmm, if we leave right now and drive all night, we should get to SE Kansas in time for leftovers Thursday around 9PM counting in the traffic along the way..look for a Blazer in the driveway with two adults (I think), 4 dogs, 2 cats and 8 chickens..yeehaw!
